Sydney is 6 weeks old today. Some days it feels like I've had her for months and others it feels like I just brought her home yesterday. But overall we are getting into somewhat of a routine that allows me to get a few things done throughout the day. Today I cleaned out Jeremy's closet, which is a whole other post in and of itself, though.
She is still wearing Newborn diapers and clothes. Both of which I thought she would have outgrown by 4 weeks. She does however, actually fit into them now. She has had her first cold, which lasted about 11 days. She was miserable, as was I. It was so frustrating to be unable to do anything to make her feel better. She no longer screams through her baths, which gives me hope that she may actually begin to like them in the not too distant future(we're going to get her some bath toys for Christmas).
We are up to 4 1/2 hours between her last feeding of the night and the first middle of the night feeding. I never thought I would be so excited about 4 1/2 hours of sleep!! She has also started holding her head up on her own. She also gives us half of a smile; I can't wait till she gets the whole thing down.
Here's hoping I have something more interesting to write about in my next post.

I'm glad she's feeling better and sleeping more... And you know, the more I see Sydney, the more I think she has your heart-shaped face - adorable!
I will always be happy with post about Sydney!!
Don't be sheepish about writing a whole post about your child, I LOVE reading all the stories on people's blogs about their kids! You have a beautiful whole new person in your life that you had a part in creating to write about - there's no way the internet is too cool for that. I mean, seriously, I just did a series of posts about a PATIO!
I like the post. I admire the fact that you even have time to post. It's nice to get updates all the way from Texas. It gives me something fun to read when I'm avoiding homework or studying. :) I'm so glad she's feeling better! Hope to see you soon. Love you!
I am so proud of you for posting, and I can't believe she is already 6 weeks old.
